Our Mission

Sharing the word of God - reaching the far corners of the world and our own backyards.

Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
"Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

Trip to Haiti

Beautiful Little Haitian Girl

Beautiful Little Haitian Girl

Well we are off!...Sort of...
The Haiti 2010 Crosspointe team left Madison Al today headed to Cap Haitian via Atlanta and Ft. Lauderdale. The trip started off great with a send off prayer at CrossPointe and some great fellowship on the road trip to Atlanta. Once we arrived in Atlanta the weather turned bad and the flight delays started happening. Currently we are spending the nigh in the Atlanta airport waiting for our 12:30am and 1:00am flights off to Ft Lauderdale with a 6:06am to Haiti.
Blessings to all our family members.

Ps....while sitting in the airport I started reading "The hole in our Gospel" by Richard Stearns the President of World Vision.

Here is a great paragraph I thought I would share....
"Anyone who has tried to follow Jesus knows that the journey is fraught with setbacks, challenges, and failures-two steps forward and one step back. Those who choose to follow Christ have struggled since the very beginning to live differently in a world that often rejcts their values and mocks their beliefs. The temptation to retreat from it and to keep our faith private has befallen every generation of Christians. Yet we are the carriers of the gospel-the good news that was meant to change the world. Belief is not enough. And Christian community is not enough. God has always demanded more. When we committed ourselves to following Christ we also committed to living our lives in such a way that a watching world would catch a glimpse of God's character-His love, justice, and mercy--through our words, actions, and behavior. "We are ...Christ's ambassadors," wrote the apostle Paul, as though God were making his appeal through us" (2 Cor 5;20) God chose us to be His representatives. He called us to go out, to proclaim the "good news" to be the "good news" and to change the world. Living out our faith privately was never meant to be an option.
