Helping Others

What a week at Mission Fields Online! God is so amazingly wonderful in how he continues to bring people into our path.

Helping people seemed to be the theme of the week this week. Businesses, Missionaries, and Non-Profit Organizations...all are in need of connecting people with others. The theme keeps coming back full circle over and over to help one another.

This week I talked with the Birmingham Parkinsons Association Chapter about helping them to help those in need. Parkinsons Patients (my father is one and I know the terrible effects that this disease has on the family as well as the individual) are in need of so many different sources. Wheelchair ramps, help to and from the doctor office, respite care, and at times this disease can be emotionally and financially draining on the patient and surrounding family. Parkinsons is one of those diseases that are not promoted as widely and most people think is a death sentence. In reality Parkinsons patients can live an active life after their diagnosis. My father has had this diease for 14 years!

So it was great talking with the Association about partnering them with other organizations to help support this patients. What a blessing it could be. Then it occured to me...this is exactly what we are trying to do at Mission Fields Online...help partner others to help themselves and others. From helping others to get their needs taken care of, to paying their light bills when they can't locally, to taking it to the next  level and helping others on the other side of the globe by providing missionaries the portal to sell goats, pigs, beads and other things to support a village!

Teddy and I are just blown away at what GOD has allowed us to be a part of to help spread his love across the globe. We would love to hear from you!
